Keeping You Engaged
THELATEST
Claiborne Parish Council on Aging is devoted to ensuring our elderly can stay engaged and participate in fun activities. Research suggests that remaining socially involved improves the quality of life for older adults and is also associated with better health over all. Social engagement contributes to greater physical, mental, and emotional health.
This month, we are focusing on National Nutrition Month and celebrating a world of flavors. Corporate Executive Chef Mario prepared a globally-inspired meal of Chicken Shawarma with a Sesame Cilantro Citrus Slaw; and Registered Dietician Veronica Gober discussed the most popular global cuisines in America and how to build a healthy plate by embracing global cultures, cuisines and inclusivity.
All activities and services of Claiborne Parish's Council on Aging are available to
access among all residents of Claiborne Parish that are 60 years of age or older,
without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin.
